OPPORTUNITY... | |||||||||||||||||||||
| Changes are taking place in the business worldoften rapidoften dramatic. Organizations change. The people in them change. When these changes do not coincide, a once highly successful, valued employee's performance can become out of sync with the organization. Changes in leadership, customers, products, coworkers, even changes within the individual employee, can disrupt performance. Problems typically surface in work relationships, level of motivation or quality of performance. Since termination, additional recruitment, training, and lost production compound the high cost of frequent change, many organizations are questioning these common responses to employee performance issues. Not all performance issues need to be problems. Changes offer promise as well. Bringing a new person into the organization or guiding a current employee who has the potential for a higher level position are also opportunities for coaching. Whatever the reason,
